GIAD 2023

We can not Thank our volunteers enough for showing up and helping out big time with our 5th Girls in Aviation Day on Saturday. The UPS interns, Portland Christian ladies, Bluegrass chapter members, CAP and all of the other volunteers who made this event possible, we thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Thank you to all our booth exhibitors too!! You guys were great!! Thank you to our sponsors; Earth Recyclying, MSC, Louisville Aviation, Bill Collins Ford, A-1 Porta Potty, UPS Flight Path, Boss Lady mechanics, AWAM, Bluegrass 99’s, go fund me donors, friends and most of all family!! We had a record attendance!! We also raised over $1,000 for our scholarship fund.
We gave out 3 scholarships($6,000 total) at the event so this is something that is very important to us as a chapter. I have already received great feedback from the event. One Dad of a young girl said it was so much more fun, inspiring and helpful than he thought it was going to be!! A Mom and Daughter drove an hour and a half to attend and said they were so inspired by the event!! Thank you to WDRB, WLKY and WAVE3 for your coverage before and during the event. Can’t wait until next year!!
